PETERSON: Well, I said they’ve got me, ah,
answerin’ a question — I answered it wrong — on Diane Sawyer. Sounds like I
answered a question that, ah, I told you about Amber the first night and
obviously you know, we both know I didn’t.
GROGAN: OK.
PETERSON: I’m losin’ it. I miss her — got so much to say that I
haven’t been able to function at all — haven’t called adult friends just — I
can’t even talk, but I’m trying. But I’m just a mess without her.
GROGAN: Well it — there is a lot of stuff going on right now. With the press
and, ah, I mean it looks like most of that stuff is kinda turnin’ the wrong
direction on ya.
GROGAN: Well, I wanna make … sure that you’re not — you’re not thinkin’ of
doin’ anything, you know, stupid.
PETERSON: I would (inaudible) on Craig — I’m so — have someone — without her
I’m just …
GROGAN: Well, I know you got a lot of pressure goin’ on.
GROGAN: All right. Well, Scott, so you’re OK. You’re not gonna hurt yourself
or anything right?
PETERSON: Ah-ah I don’t think I’ll do that, but I need her back. (inaudible)
tell me there’s some leads. Tell me there’s somethin’ there — to look for.
GROGAN: Well, ah, I am not — I’m not tellin’ ya that there’s — there’s
anything that’s pointing in any direction — right now that … is somewhere
other than you, Scott.
GROGAN: I mean — you and I both know what happened to Laci.
PETERSON: Do you know what happened to her?
GROGAN: We both do.
PETERSON: Craig, I need to know what happened to her. You — are you tellin’
me you know what happened to her?
GROGAN: Scott — I mean, let’s be serious with one another.
PETERSON: Craig, tell me what — you know what happened to her — do you — do
you know where she is?
GROGAN: Well I know where we’re lookin’ for her. And —
PETERSON: Where?
GROGAN: And I think we’re probably gonna find her over there in the bay.
PETERSON: Oh.
GROGAN: It’s a matter of time.
PETERSON: Craig, you — I had nothing to do with Laci’s disappearance.
(Pause) OK. Yeah. Hey, ah, I’m gonna go.
GROGAN: Scott, what I’m offerin’ ya is an opportunity … to end all this
nonsense.
PETERSON: I’m gonna find her, Craig.
GROGAN: Well – we're going to.
PETERSON: I mean we're gonna find her.
GROGAN: I want the door open between us. If you want to end all of this
nonsense – all you need to do is call me, all right? We can sit down, I will
not treat you badly, you can tell me what happened – we can get Laci back
where she needs to be.
PETERSON: I knew it –
GROGAN: We can end all of this stuff for you – I mean, think about it.
Really.
PETERSON: I'm not involved in my wife's disappearance. We're gonna find her
. And I need your help
– doing that and I just hope you're following – your department's following
the leads. I want to find her
– that's all there is to it. Yeah, I'm goin' now. Bye.
GROGAN: Good-bye.
