Point Isabel -- July 11, 2004
Purpose: To get a feel for the location and to identify exactly where Laci's body was found.
We did not have enough information to correctly identify the
location, but I did get some good pictures of the area, and some of them border
the location.
These pictures were taken between 5:30 and 5:42 p.m.
Verified water levels ranged from
4.45-4.63 feet above MLLW. The high tide that allegedly washed Laci ashore was
verified at 5.78 feet above MLLW. The wind, according to the
UC Richmond station, was 9-10 mph,
with gusts up to 17 mph. According to the
NOAA Richmond station, the winds were even milder, 7 mph with gusts 9 mph.
I have not annotated the pictures with water level because it is not an issue for this field trip, as we had not identified the correct location.
#s 117, 124, and 125 look towards the Albany Bulb.
