RECORDED PHONE CONVERSATION BETWEEN SCOTT PETERSON AND BRIAN ARGAIN: JANUARY 22, 2003 AT 1739 HOURS
Scott PETERSON: I want to talk to you also about, you know, selling the house.
Brian ARGAIN: Yeah.
Scott PETERSON: I mean can I do that? I don’t know.
Brian ARGAIN: I believe you can. I mean I don’t…I don’t see why you couldn’t if that’s what you want to do?
Scott PETERSON: I mean I need to, and we’re not staying there anyway.
Brian ARGAIN: Okay.
Scott PETERSON: However this comes out, you know.
Brian ARGAIN: Okay.
Scott PETERSON: I mean I need to, and we’re not staying there anyway.

Scott PETERSON: You know, but keep it quiet obviously.
Brian ARGAIN: Yeah, of course. What, when did you want to look at doing it?
Scott PETERSON: I mean I’d, I’d like to put it on the market right now.
Brian ARGAIN: Okay, um…
Scott PETERSON: I mean there’s no way if Laci comes back that we’re gonna stay there.
Brian ARGAIN: Yeah, I don’t…I don’t blame you whatsoever. I’d be the same way.
Scott PETERSON: Yeah.
Brian ARGAIN: It’s just kind of freaky from that point on, you know what I mean?
Scott PETERSON: Yeah.
Brian ARGAIN: Um…
Scott PETERSON: That’s how I feel.

Brian ARGAIN: Yeah, I’m trying to figure out…that’s what I was wondering, I was wondering if there’s some sort of uh…I mean I don’t see why you couldn’t sell it.
Scott PETERSON: Yeah.
Brian ARGAIN: You know what I mean. I know that was part of the investigation at one point, but they’ve already…they’ve already done all that.
Scott PETERSON: Yeah.
Brian ARGAIN: So I can’t see there being an issue.
Scott PETERSON: Okay, I was just, I don’t know, you know, with the title and that kind of stuff, both of us have to sign or I don’t know.
Brian ARGAIN: Let me uh…let me check on that tomorrow morning for you.
Scott PETERSON: Appreciate it.
Brian ARGAIN: And see what…
Scott PETERSON: Kinda keep it quiet, all right?
Brian ARGAIN: Oh, I will. I’m not gonna say a work to anybody, don’t worry about that.
Scott PETERSON: Can I see it furnished? I mean…
Brian ARGAIN: Uh...you can, yeah.
Scott PETERSON: Okay.
Brian ARGAIN: is that…is that what you want to do?
Scott PETERSON: I don’t know, I don’t know.
Brian ARGAIN: Okay. Yeah, I mean I think you can. I mean I know you can, but that’s…that’s completely up to you. I mean that would basically just be between you and whoever decided to buy it.
Scott PETERSON: Yeah, okay.
Brian ARGAIN: You know what I mean?

Scott PETERSON: Yeah, that would be great. I’ll call Guy right now and see if he can make it out there.
Brian ARGAIN: Okay. Let’s …let’s plan on that though because I’d like to sit and chat with you and stuff, that would be good.
Scott PETERSON: Yeah, definitely. We’ll be there at 1:00 no matter what.
